Oulanka National Park with Snowshoes

5 h
from 99 €
Frozen waterfalls and wintry forest by the river Kitka.
On the shore of Myllykoski you can see the Dipper diving in to the freezing water and the snowy trees standing along the wavy whitewater. The snowshoe trail follows the riverbank and goes to the middle of the wintry forest at times. We'll see frozen waterfall Jyrävä and the icy riverbanks of Aallokkokoski. We’ll put up a campfire next to the old mill and with good luck the Siberian Jays may come and greet us or we see otters playing on the riverbanks.

Duration is 5 hours including transfers from Ruka and length is 4-8 km depending on the group's wishes. The route is moderately easy and suitable for everyone who is able to walk the same distance. Our group size is 1-8.
